Tent & Event Rentals 101: What You Need to Know

Whether you're planning a wedding, backyard party, or corporate event, we know rentals can feel overwhelming at first—especially when it comes to tents and space planning.
That’s why we’ve put together this FAQ section to guide you through the basics. From setup timelines to guest counts and what to expect on delivery day, we’re here to help every step of the way.
Tent or no tent? A damper can be put on outdoor events if the weather takes a turn.. If you are renting a tent, we will need to discuss factors like setup area, underground hazards (for staking), timing, etc.
Pick a date for your event. Most parties are on Saturday or Sunday. We typically set up tents on Thursday or Friday and take down on Monday or Tuesday. Wedding rentals are typically delivered the morning of, and picked up the following AM. Let us know if your venue requires late-night removal of rentals.
How many guests are you expecting? You don’t have to get this exactly right. We understand that you might not have a firm headcount yet, but we need a rough idea on guest count to better serve you.
Call Digsafe! It cannot be understated how important it is to know what is under your lawn and where it is. Avoid disaster and high cost repairs by simply calling DigSafe.

We recommend booking as early as possible—especially for spring and summer weekends, which tend to fill up fast. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out early to secure your spot!

Tent rentals typically include setup and takedown, plus any extras you choose such as sidewalls, lighting, or dance floors. We’ll work with you to build a custom rental package that suits your space and guest count.

Tents need a clear, unobstructed space—free of patio furniture, trees, shrubs, and other obstacles. If you're unsure, just send us a few photos of the area and we’ll help determine what will work best.

No worries! We know headcounts can change. We’ll help you estimate your space needs and can often bring a few extra chairs or tables just in case.

Yes—when installing tents, we use stakes driven about 3 feet into the ground. Please let us know about any sprinkler lines, electrical wiring, septic systems, or other underground features. When in doubt, call 811 (Dig Safe)—it's free and easy.

We typically set up the day before your event and take everything down the day after. This gives you plenty of time to decorate, prep, and enjoy your celebration without any last-minute stress. If your event falls on a weekend, setup is usually Friday with takedown on Sunday or Monday—depending on scheduling and availability.
